How to get photos, music, notes and data off of your iPhone and iPod Touch 8

Apr4

I was recently plagued with a failing hard drive in my Macbook. I wasn’t really concerned because I had a Time Machine back up- unfortunately, it was almost three months since my last Time Machine sync.

Before I get too into this, I’d like to make it clear that my iTunes was configured to sync the last 12 months of iPhoto pictures. Facing almost three months of missing photos, I was determined to find a way to access the missing photos on my iPhone.

I spent a while googling for solutions and it took me a few pages to find my solution:

MegaPhone for iPhone and iPod Touch lets you access photos, music, notes and other data from your iPhone and iPod Touch. You can not only easily drag and drop photos, galleries and notes, but you can recover your music quickly and easily.

For anyone who experiences the following related problems, I hope you can find this software useful if you want to:

  • Restore photos from your iPhone or iPod Touch
  • Restore music from your iPhone or iPod Touch
  • Restore notes from your iPhone or iPod Touch
  • View or export your call or SMS history from your iPhone
  • Store files on your iPhone or iPod Touch

Thanks a lot! I tried the demo and then bought it straight away! I had a double whammy – dead (ish) iPhone (drowned and no longer responds to touch but data apparently intact) and a dead MacBook Pro HD! Managed to recover all the data on the iPhone with this software (photos, music etc).

    Brilliant!

My computer was stolen and I needed to get photos (not in Camera Roll) from my iPhone. I just paid the $20 for the PhoneView program and it worked like a charm.

    Thanks!

Wow. I was so frustrated to learn my MacBook harddrive had kicked the bucket and I hadn’t backed up in forever. I’m so glad I found this page so I could get info from my iPod. Otherwise I would’ve lost pictures from my friend’s wedding for good! Thanks for having a page that so clearly spells out what to do. Totally worth the $20.

Wonderful! First I spend our to upload hundreds of MiB’s to my iPhone from a friends computer. After that I realized that I couldn’t get these photo’s to my Mac… This program is just what I need, $20 well spend!

so worth the $20; you made our lives so much easier. We had photos from a previous desktop that crashed. We needed to retrieve the photos from our iPhone before selling it for the upgrade (3G). Phoneview was the ONLY thing that worked. THANK YOU!!! TiP: When following the instructions: “Highlight the photos to be copied. Click the “Send to iPhoto” button on the toolbar. The selected photos will be copied and sent directly to iPhoto.” We found if you keep iphoto closed while the pictures copied over from the Phoneview that it worked out perfectly.
